Photo a day....2nd May.First bowl of strawberries this season. They smell delicious. Some are funny shapes due to erratic pollination apparently. In the tunnel I should really see to them with a soft brush but didn't get round to it.
First bowl of many we hope....!

They look delicious, even with their little imperfections. Home-grown strawberries are the best, aren't they?
These are the sweetest tasting ones of all!!
We get strawbs grown in the southern states, and while they are big, and look perfect, they are tastless. I won't buy them any more, but wait until June for our local crops.
Bet they taste great even if not "supermarket shelf" perfect.
I love strawberries, but removed mine as I wanted to plant more vegies with a higher turn over.
They do look lovely.:)
